The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highways (North East) (No. 36) Order 2024" authorising the stopping up various areas of highway bounded by Milford Road, Delaval Road, Benwell Lane and Hodgkin Park at Newcastle upon Tyne in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. This is to enable development as permitted by Newcastle City Council under reference 023/0497/01/DET.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5499). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at West End Library and Community Hub, Condercum Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 9JH.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 30 December 2024.
