The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.35) Order 2024 " authorising the stopping up of a rectangular shaped area of unnamed highway to the west of Northumberland Terrace, in the City of Newcastle. This is to enable development as permitted by Newcastle City Council, under reference 2023/1162/01/DET.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5783). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at East End Library & Community Hub, 83 Shields Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 1DL.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 12 December 2024.
