AMENDMENTS TO CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE RPW

PROPOSED CONVERSION OF PARKING PLACES TO WAITING RESTRICTION IN BEVERLEY AVENUE AND HOLLAND AVENUE

THE MERTON (PARKING PLACES) (RPW) (NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the “Parking Places” Order would be to:-

(a) replace the parking places at each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this notice with ‘no waiting at any time’ double yellow lines to facilitate footway buildouts to accommodate larger tree pits for the existing trees and their roots;

(b) revoke the Merton (Parking Places) (RPW) Order 2019 and its subsequent amending Orders and re-introduce their provisions in one Order with amendments to match the on-street layout in Coombe Lane.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans which indicates the roads or lengths of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.

4. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/RPWAMENDMENTS, no later than 20 December 2024.
