TNT GROUP PENSION SCHEME
(THE “SCHEME”)* – WIND UP OF THE SCHEME.
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, the Trustees of the Scheme give notice that they intend to wind-up the Scheme. The Trustees request that (a) any former employee of any entity which participated in the Scheme, including the following entities:
• FedEx Express UK Transportation Limited (formerly known as TNT UK Limited and TNT Materials Handling Limited),
• TNT Express ICS Limited,
• TNT Express Worldwide (UK) Ltd,
• TNT Airways SA UK Branch,
• G3 Worldwide Mail (UK) Ltd
• FedEx Express UK Limited,
• Federal Express Corporation,
• TNT Employment Services Limited,
• TNT Offshore Islands Express Limited,
• Sayer and Company (Transport – I.O.M.) Limited,
• TNT Logistics UK Ltd,
• TNT Autologistics Ltd or
• TNT Logistics (Europe) Ltd.
or if such a person is deceased (b) the spouse or dependant of that person, who in either case is (or thinks they might be) entitled to benefits under the Scheme, (c) any person (or the spouse or dependant of that person) who was previously a member of the Scheme but who transferred their benefits out of the Scheme and (d) any other person who believes they may have a claim against the Scheme, provides written particulars of any such entitlement or claim to the Chair of the Trustees, the TNT Group Pension Scheme, c/o Legal Dept, FedEx Express UK Transportation Ltd, Express House, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warks, CV9 2RY on or before the end of a two month period from the date of this notice.
After the end of the two-month period, the Trustees will distribute the remaining assets of the Scheme amongst the persons currently appearing to be entitled to them and, in doing so, will have regard only to the claims of which they currently have notice. The Trustees shall then not be liable to any person whose claim has not been notified to them in accordance with this notice. You do not need to contact the Trustees if you have received correspondence from the Trustees in the last 18 months which referred to the action being taken to deal with your benefits under the Scheme, as they already have details of your entitlement.
When contacting the Trustees please provide your full name, any former names by which you may have been known, your date of birth and National Insurance number. It is recommended that written details of any claims are sent by a guaranteed delivery method.
