INTERNATIONAL SHIPBROKERS LIMITED RETIREMENT BENEFITS SCHEME (“THE SCHEME”)
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, the trustees of the Scheme give notice that the winding-up of the Scheme will shortly be completed. The trustees of the Scheme request that (a) any former employee (whether fulltime or part-time) of International Shipbrokers Limited or if such a person is deceased (b) the spouse, civil partner or dependant of that person, who in either case is (or thinks they might be) entitled to benefits under the Scheme, or (c) any other person who believes they may be entitled to benefits under, or otherwise have a claim against, the Scheme, provides written particulars of any such entitlement or claim to the Scheme’s administrator, XPS Administration, PO Box 562, Middlesbrough TS1 9JA (email: admin.edinburgh@xpsplc.com), on or before 31/10/2024.
After this date, the trustees will complete the process of distributing the assets of the Scheme and, in doing so, will have regard only to the entitlements and claims of which they have notice. Once all assets are distributed, the Scheme will be wound up. In accordance with section 27, the trustees shall not be liable to any person whose claim has not been notified to them by the date stated in this notice. Notification is not required from persons who have received correspondence after 31/10/2024 from the trustees relating to the wind up of the Scheme.
