CHANGES TO PARKING PLACES, WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND MODAL FILTER UPGRADE WITH CHANGES TO CARRIAGEWAY EXTENT AND FOOTWAY WIDENING (KERB BUILD-OUTS)

THE NEWHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:-

a) to convert 10 metres of permit holder parking places on the north-east side of Faringford Road (opposite the north-western wall of No. 10 Aldworth Road) to waiting and loading restrictions operating at any time (double yellow lines and double kerb blips); and

b) to convert 19 metres of waiting restrictions operating Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm in Elliot Close to waiting and loading restrictions operating at any time (double yellow lines and double kerb blips).

3. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that in pursuance of the Highways Act 1980 (Section 90G-90I), the Council proposes to construct kerb build-outs in Aldworth Road outside Nos. 12/14, outside No. 25 (at its junction with Elliot Close) and from the north-western wall of No. 2 Faringford Road to outside No. 6 Faringford Road.

4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders and kerb build-outs can be made available during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by telephoning 020 3373 6415, by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, or inspected (by prior appointment – please telephone the above number) at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders or the proposals for the kerb build-outs must be made in writing and received by 15 May 2024. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should be sent to the Director of Highways, Parking & Transportation, London Borough of Newham, 3rd Floor West, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London, E16 2QU or by email to traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk.

7. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or e-mail sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
