THE EALING (GREENWOOD SCHOOL STREETS) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing on 19th February 2024 made the above Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:

The general effect of the Order will be to create a pedestrian and cycle zone in the vicinity of Greenwood Primary School operating between 8.30am and 9.15am and between 3pm and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays (the operational hours). Motor vehicles will be prohibited from entering the following roads during the operational hours:

• Merton Avenue, between its junction with Wood End Way and the north-eastern kerb-line of Keble Close;

• Ramsey Close; and

• Wood End Way.

3. Residents living in the properties in the lengths of the above roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice will be able to apply for a SS42 school streets zone permit to be issued for their vehicle so that they can access their properties during the operational hours.

4. The Order, which will come into operation on 26th February 2024, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans, are available by e-mail from trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 1st April 2024.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 1st April 2024.
