THE CROYDON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND WAITING) AND (FREE PARKING PLACES) (NO.2) ORDER 2024

THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (NO.2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 05 February 2024 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers. 1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 159a Albert Road, South Norwood, No. 45 Ambleside Gardens, South Croydon, No. 6 Annsworthy Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 42 Apsley Road, South Norwood, No. 38 Deans Walk, Coulsdon, No. 42 Frimley Close, New Addington, No. 90 Harcourt Road, Thornton Heath, No. 108 Long Lane, Croydon, No. 173 Oak Avenue, Shirley, No. 40 Orchard Rise, Croydon, No. 90 Pemdevon Road, Croydon, No. 25 Stroud Green Way, Croydon, No. 180, Sumner Road South, Croydon, No. 6 Upton Road, Thornton Heath, and No. 51 Wentworth Road, Croydon.

b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Barmouth Road, Croydon: Outside No. 4 and partially across the frontage of No. 2

Bensham Grove, Thornton Heath: Outside No. 6 and partially across the frontage of No. 4

Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon: Outside No. 387 and partially across the frontage of No. 385

Dagnall Park, South Norwood: Outside No. 79

Ecclesbourne Road, Thornton Heath: Outside No. 36 and partially across the frontage of No. 38

Fairlands Avenue, Thornton Heath: Outside No. 74

Godric Crescent, New Addington: Outside No. 29 (partial footway bay)

Leighton Street, Croydon: Opposite No. 38 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

Longheath Gardens, Croydon: Outside No. 64

Netley Close, New Addington: Outside No. 48 and partially across the frontage of No. 50 (replaces one space within a free partial footway parking bay).

Norbury Crescent, Norbury: Outside No. 12a

Park Road, Kenley: Opposite Oakhurst Court, No. 4 Hayes Lane (replaces one space within a free parking bay).

Richmond Road, Thornton Heath: Outside No. 56 and partially across the frontage of No. 54

Southcote Road, South Norwood: Outside No. 24 and partially across the frontage of No .22

Southwell Road, Croydon: Partially outside Nos. 28 and 30 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay) Spa Hill, Upper Norwood: Outside No. 5 (partial footway bay)

Violet Lane, Croydon: Outside No. 317

Westleigh Avenue, Coulsdon: Outside No. 88

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 12 February 2024, and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further informationcan be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
