THE ISLINGTON (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 6) ORDER 2024
THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 6) ORDER 2024
1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington on the 1st of February 2024 made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.
2) The general effect of the Orders which will come into effect on the 2nd of February 2024 would be to:
(a) Reduce the existing pay by phone parking place on the south-east side of Morris Place by 8 metres at its south-western end.
(b) Introduce no waiting or loading at any time restrictions on the south-east side of Morris Place between its junction with Clifton Terrace and the south-western end of the amended pay by phone parking place described in 2(a).
(c) Reduce the existing bus stop cage on the north-west side of Morris Place by 5 metres at its south-western end.
(d) Introduce no waiting or loading at any time restrictions on the north-west side of Morris Place from a point 24 metres north-east of the junction with Clifton Terrace, to a point 51.5 metres north-east of the same junction (the south-western end of the amended bus stop cage described in 2(c).
(e) Introduce no loading at any time restrictions on the south-east side of Morris Place between its junction with Stroud Green Road and the north-eastern end of the parking place described in 2(a).
(f) Introduce no loading at any time restrictions on the north-west side of Morris Place between its junction with Stroud Green Road and the north-eastern end of the bus stop cage described in 2(c).
3) A copy of the Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made.
