THE LEWISHAM (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.53) ORDER 2023

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council on 4th December 2023 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into force on 11th December 2023.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce

(a) cycle hangars (secure cycle parking facilities for hire) at the locations detailed in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

(b) cycle corrals (cycle parking areas) at the locations detailed in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

3. The Schedules also include details of revisions to existing parking provision to facilitate the installation of the cycle hangars and corrals which will be placed on the carriageway. Further information on the cycle hangar rental scheme can be found at: Lewisham Council - Cycle storage for hire 4. Please note that the proposed cycle hanger outside No.28 Murillo Road, as detailed in the Notice of Proposals published on 5th May 2023 has been abandoned.
