1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-

(a) formalise the reciprocal ‘cross-boundary’ parking scheme whereby holders of Wandsworth Council’s:-

(i) ‘S3’ parking permits are allowed to park in the parking places on the Merton side of Revelstoke Road within the Merton ‘P2’ controlled parking zone;

(ii) ‘L1’ parking permits are allowed to park in the parking places on the Merton side of Ravensbury Road within the Merton ‘P3’ controlled parking zone; and

(iii) ‘Q1’ parking permits are allowed to park in the parking places on the Merton side of Queensmere Road within the Merton ‘VNE’ controlled parking zone;

(b) update the ‘VNE’ Order so that the descriptions of the parking places in Queensmere Road match the on-street layout.

3. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans which indicate the roads or lengths of roads to which the Orders relate, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.

4. Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/CROSSBOUNDARY no later than 22 December 2023.
