THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to prevent obstructive parking, improve traffic flow, sightlines and road safety, and maximise resident parking provision where applicable, the general effect of the Orders would be to amend the parking layout as follows:

(1) A section of single yellow line waiting restriction would be removed outside No. 168 Station Road N3 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking).

(2) A section of single yellow line waiting restriction would be removed outside Nos. 22/23 John’s Avenue NW4 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking).

(3) A disabled permit holder only parking bay would be relocated from outside No. 22 John’s Avenue NW4 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), to outside No. 21 Johns Avenue NW4 (by converting a length of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restriction).

(4) A new length of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restriction would be introduce outside Nos. 19 and 20 Bushfield Close HA8.

(5) The existing ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restriction would be extended on Sheaveshill Avenue NW9, at its junction with Colin Close, adjacent to No.1 Colin Close.

(6) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced around the junction of Hale Lane and Gibbs Green HA8.

(7) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Hale Lane HA8 between 2/8 Hale Court and 1/3 Elmgate Court.

(8) An existing School Keep Clear road marking would be relocated from Fallow Court Avenue to Montrose Cresent N12, outside Finchley Reform Synagogue.

(9) A new length of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restriction would be introduced on Church Hill Road EN4, at its junction with Oakleigh Court.

(10) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junction of Porters Way N12 with Summers Lane N12 and the access for The Compton School.

(11) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Porters Way N12.

(12) A new length of 1pm to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am to 7pm Friday to Saturday single yellow line waiting restriction would be introduced on Porters Way N12, between No.4 Sunny Way and 154 Summers Lane.

(13) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junction of Hammers Lane and Shakespear Road NW7.

(14) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be in introduced at the junction of Shakespear Road and Birkbeck Road NW7.

(15) New lengths of 3pm to midnight on Fridays and midnight to 8pm on Saturdays single yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Charter Way N3, outside Finchley Synagogue.

(16) A new length of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restriction will be introduced on the Great North Way access Road NW4, between Greenlands Lane and Ashely Lane.

(17) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junctions of Meadway NW11 and Heathgate NW11.

(18) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Meadway NW11, between its junction with Heathgate and Nos. 22/35.

(19) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on The Ridgeway NW7, in the vicinity of Littleberries, Ridgemount, Provincial House, High Street.

(20) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junctions of Milespit Hill NW7 and High Street NW7.

(21) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junctions of The Ridgeway and Hight Street/Milespit Hill.

(22) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on High Street/Milespit Hill NW7.

(23) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Milespit Hill NW7, in the vicinity of Hollies End.

(24) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junction of Milespit Hill NW7 and Hollies End NW7.

(25) ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced at the junction of Milespit Hill NW7 and Vineries Bank NW7.

(26) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Milespit Hill NW7, in the vicinity of Vineries Bank.

(27) No Loading ‘at any time’ restrictions would be introduced at the junction of The Broadway with Millway NW7.

(28) Certain lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions would be introduced on Millway NW7, in the vicinity of The Broadway and Nos.2/4 Millway.

In order to help maximise parking provision, the Order would also introduce new motor cycle parking bays and disabled permit holders only parking bays (by converting lengths of existing payment parking bays where applicable) outside the following locations:

• 97 The Broadway NW7 – Motorcyles only parking bay

• 103 The Broadway NW7 – Disabled permit holders only parking bay

• 115 The Broadway NW7 – Disabled permit holders only parking bay

• 117 The Broadway NW7 – Motorcyles only parking bay

• Athene House, Hartley Avenue NW7 – Disabled permit holders only parking bay

• Hartley Avenue NW7 (adjacent to 86 The Broadway) – Motorcycles only parking bay

The existing disabled permit holders only parking bay outside No. 92/94 The Broadway NW7 will also be relocated by 2.5m.
