Surrey County Council (“the Council”) propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to impose a 40mph speed limit in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Temporary Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, namely development works in relation to Planning Application WA/2019/0796, which will be carried out by Local Transport Projects and/or any other contractors acting on its behalf. The Order will commence on 6 October 2023 and will remain in operation in any event until such time as all the relevant works have been completed, when it will be revoked by a further Order to be made by the Council at that time.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary 40mph speed limits will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs. The speed limits shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.

Schedule

1. that length of High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill which extends from its junction with B2130 Dunsfold Road, south-eastwards for a distance of 275m;

2. that length of Dunsfold Common Road (C33) Dunsfold which extends from its junction with B2130 Dunsfold Road, south-westwards for a distance of 360m;

3. that length of Dunsfold Road (B2130) Loxhill which extends from a point 195m north-west of its junction with C33 Dunsfold Common Road to a point 399m north-east of its junction with High Loxley Road.
