PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF ‘NO MOTOR VEHICLES’ RESTRICTIONS AT THE EXISTING WIDTH RESTRICTIONS IN:

(A) CONNAUGHT GARDENS N13, SOUTH OF HEDGE LANE N13,

(B) HALSTEAD ROAD N21, WEST OF CHURCH STREET N9,

(C) RIDGE ROAD N21, NORTH-WEST OF CHURCH STREET N9.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Enfield (Prescribed Route) (No. 5) Traffic Order 2022 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders referred to in paragraph 1 of this Notice which will come into operation on 31 July 2023 will be to at:

(a) Connaught Gardens width restriction, remove and replace the current access gate with a ‘No motor vehicles’ restriction at the same location;

(b) Halstead Road width restriction, remove and replace the current access gate with a ‘No motor vehicles’ restriction at the same location; and

(c) Ridge Road width restriction, remove and replace the current access gate with a ‘No motor vehicles’ restriction at the same location.

3. Copies of the Order, and any other relevant documents, can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, on Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 5pm inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made. The made Order, notice and plan can also be inspected online at:

4. Copies of the made Order and Statement of Reasons can also be obtained by emailing traffic@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to Head of Highways, Traffic and Parking (quoting reference TG/1524 Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD.

1. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
