THE ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL (A120/A133 LINK ROAD) (PHASE 1 (SOUTHERN SECTION)) (CLASSIFIED ROAD) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2023
The Essex County Council (the “Council”) hereby give notice that it has made, and is about to submit to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order made under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to:
a) stop up highways;
b) construct new highways;
c) stop up private means of access to premises; and
d) provide new means of access to said premises.
all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the A120; A133; and the highway which the Council propose to construct a new link from the A120 from a point 800m north of the property known as Allens Farm for a distance of 2300 metres to form a junction with the A133, this Order is in reference to Phase 1 of the new road scheme aforementioned and covering the length from the A133 to the property known as Allens Farm.
Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans, may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from the 20th July 2023 until 7th September 2023 at Essex County Council, County Hall, 19 Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1GG; Chelmsford Library, Ground Floor, County Hall, Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1QH; Colchester Library, Trinity Square, Colchester, CO1 1JB; Wivenhoe Library, 104/106 High Street, Wivenhoe, CO7 9AB and Greenstead Library, Hawthorn Avenue, Colchester, CO4 3QE.
Any person may not later than 7th September 2023 object to the confirmation of the Order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR.
