THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety, the general effect of the Orders would be to introduce new lengths ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions at the following locations:

a) Allandale Avenue N3, at its junction with Regents Park Road.

b) Allandale Avenue N3, opposite Chessington Lodge

c) Fitzalan Road N3, between its junction with Regents Park Road and No. 2 Fitzalan Road

d) Arden Road N3, to the side of No.191 Regents Park Road

e) Claremont Road NW2, to the side of No. 11 Quantock Gardens

f) St Margarets Avenue N20, between its junction with Totteridge Lane and No.11 St Margarets Avenue (by converting existing 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions)

g) St Margarets Avenue N20, between its junction with High Road and No. 45 St Margarets Avenue (by converting existing 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions)

h) At the junction of Great North Road and Cherry Hill EN5

i) The Ridgeway NW7, between Wentworth Hall and The Lodge

j) At the junctions of Walter Walk and Dryfield Road, Dryfield Road and Fourland Walk, Fourland Walk and Walter Walk, and Fourland Walk and Crispin Road HA8

k) Fourland Walk HA8

l) Certain lengths of Walter Walk HA8

m) Wildwood Road NW11, outside Nos. 1/3, 36/42, 34/36, and 32/32a

n) Wildwood Road NW11, at its junction with Green Close (by converting lengths of existing Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restriction)

o) Elmer Gardens HA8, between its junction with Garratt Road and No.1 Elmer Gardens (by converting the existing Monday to Friday 10am to 11am waiting restriction)

p) Elmer Gardens HA8, between No 3 Elmer Gardens and No.17 Elmer Gardens, including the turning circle (by converting the existing Monday to Friday 10am to 11am waiting restriction)

q) Beechwood Avenue N3, at its junction with North Circular Road

r) Westbury Road N12, at its junction with Holden Road

s) Holden Road N12, at its junction with Westbury Road

In addition to the above, the general effect of the Orders would also be to amend the parking layout in certain locations as follows:

(i) introduce new lengths of single yellow line waiting restrictions operating 11am to 12midday Monday to Friday by converting existing resident permit holder only parking bays outside Nos.6/8, 13/15 and 17 Highwood Grove NW7

(ii) introduce a new resident permit holder only parking bay operational between 11am and 12midday Monday to Friday outside No. 10 Highwood Grove NW7

In order to deter all-day commuter-type parking from taking place thus improving resident parking opportunity and reducing traffic congestion, and effectively manage parking on the public highway, the general effect of the above Orders would also be to introduce TW Controlled Parking Zone resident permit holders only ‘Past this point’ parking areas in Blakeney Close N20 and Manus Way N20, operational Monday to Sunday 10am to 11am and 3pm to 4pm.
