Notice is hereby given that Armadale Wind Farm Limited (company registration number 13917688 ) with its Registered Office at Level 25, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, England E14 5AA has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Armadale Wind Farm, located in the Highlands on the north coast between Dounreay and Bettyhill, approximately 2 km south of Armadale. (National Grid Reference 279177, 962608). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be over 50MW comprising of up to 9 turbines with a maximum ground to blade tip height of 149.9 metres. An EIA Report has been produced to accompany the application for consent.
Armadale Wind Farm Limited has also applied for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.
Armadale Wind Farm Limited has now submitted Additional Information to the Scottish Ministers, which includes information relating to specific points raised from consultees during the consultation process and to provide an assessment of effects arising from the Amended Development.
A copy of the Additional Information application together with a copy of the EIA report discussing the Company’s proposals in more detail and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications, are available for public inspection in person, free of charge, during normal office hours at:

A copy of the Additional Information and all other application related information is also available for public inspection, free of charge on the application website www.armadalewindfarm.co.uk or on the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit website at www.energyconsents.scot under application reference ECU00003455.
Copies of the Additional Information may be obtained from Jason McCall (0204 557 4347 / info@armadalewindfarm.co.uk) at a reasonable cost and free on DVD/CD/USB.
Any representations to the application may be submitted via the Energy Consents Unit website at www.energyconsents.scot/Register.aspx; by email to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit mailbox at representations@gov.scot; or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Please note that there may be a delay in the Energy Consents Unit receiving representations by post.
Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals), full return email and postal address of those making representations. Only representations sent by email to representations@gov.scot will receive acknowledgement.
All representations should be received not later than Monday 10 July although the Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
Any subsequent Additional Information which is submitted by or on behalf of Armadale Wind Farm Limited will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.
As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where the Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, the Scottish Ministers can also cause a Public Inquiry to be held.
Following examination of the environmental information, the Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in two ways:
● Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or
● Reject the proposal
