STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS

SECTION 247 TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

LAND AT 69-76 HIGH STREET (HEIDELBERG), BRENTFORD, LONDON, TW8 0AA

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of highway at land known as Land at 69-76 HIGH STREET (Heidelberg), Brentford, London, TW8 0AA as described in the First Schedule, namely those areas known as being part of the footpath at 69-76 HIGH STREET (Heidelberg), Brentford, London, TW8 0AA in the London Borough of Hounslow comprising the area shown shaded blue and hatched black on the plan annexed to the Order (“the Plan”).

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by the London Borough of Hounslow on 10th November 2022 under reference number P/2022/1142 (00607/69-76/P12).

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND THE PLAN MAY BE REQUESTED free of charge from the London Borough of Hounslow, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB between 09.00 and 17.00 hours during a period of 28 days commencing on 10 March 2023. Please contact the Council at traffic@hounslow.gov.uk or on 020 8583 3322 to arrange for a copy of the draft Order to be sent by post. The draft Order is also available on the Council’s website under traffic notices.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28 days commencing on 10 March 2023 by writing to the Assistant Director – Traffic, Transport & Parking, London Borough of Hounslow, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB, quoting reference:

In preparing an objection, it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it. If no objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may make the Order as an unopposed Order.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Areas of Highway to be stopped up: -

The southern boundary of the site, adjacent to Point Wharf Lane, which forms part of the northern side of the Thames Path. The two areas to be stopped up are:

- Eastern area: 4.71m in width and 27.02m in length

- Western area: 6.64m in width and 34.44m in length

SECOND SCHEDULE

Development: -

Demolition of the existing building and erection of four blocks ranging from three to eleven storeys to provide 333 residential units and commercial space with associated car and cycle parking, landscaping, amenity space and ancillary development
