Notices under the Trustee Act 1925
BANK OF MONTREAL 1972 UK PENSION PLAN
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Trustee of the Bank of Montreal 1972 UK Pension Plan (the “Trustee”) has commenced the process of winding up the Bank of Montreal 1972 UK Pension Plan (the “Plan”).
The Trustee has written to all members and beneficiaries currently receiving benefits or with a known entitlement to future benefits under the Plan.
If you have not recently been contacted but believe you have an entitlement to any benefit from, or interest in, the Plan by reason of your own or a relative's or any other person's full or part-time employment with the Bank of Montreal or any other participating employer, or by reason of a transfer of benefits into the Plan, you are required to send particulars in writing by 28 April 2023 of your entitlement or interest (together with your full name, present address, date of birth and copies of all documents which support your claim) to Claire Choi, Bank of Montreal, 100 Liverpool Street, London, EC2M 2AT.
After the expiry of this notice on 28 April 2023, the Trustee will distribute the remaining assets of the Plan as part of the wind-up. Benefits will be provided only to those persons whose valid claims and entitlements the Trustee has received notice of and they will not be liable to or in respect of any other person.
Any individuals who have already been contacted by the Trustee about this matter should not respond to this notice as the Trustee already has details of their claims and entitlements.
