ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames made the following Order The Kingston upon Thames (20mph Speed Limit) (No.1) Order 2023 on 6 February 2023 under sections 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended –
2. The general effect of the Order will impose a speed limit zone of 20 miles per hour in the roads listed in the Schedule to this Notice.
(Please note that, for roads listed where a partial 20mph limit is already in place, the speed limit will apply the whole length of that road.)
3. Copies of the Order, which will come into effect on 28 February 2023, the Council’s Statement of Reason for making the Order and plan showing the locations and the effects of the Order may be inspected as follows:-
(a) online at https://www.kingston.gov.uk/unmade-traffic-management-orders under reference P320 – 20mph Kingston and South of the Borough
(b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive
(c) Council libraries; and
(d) copies of the made Order and map tiles can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays); or
(e) by emailing tmo@kingston.gov.uk (please quote ref P320).
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of these Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
