DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 228
THE CROYDON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND WAITING) AND (FREE PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. F5) ORDER 20-
THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. F6) ORDER 20-
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 16 Addiscombe, Croydon, No. 4 Aylett Road, South Norwood, No. 154 Buller Road, Thornton Heath, No. 4 Elmgrove Road, Croydon, No. 102 Harrington Road, South Norwood, No. 2A Kidderminster Road, Croydon, No. 13 Nugent Road. South Norwood, No. 34 Orchard Rise, Croydon, Nos. 14-24 Purley Road, South Croydon, and Grafton House, Roke Close, Kenley.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.
Aurelia Road, Croydon | Outside No. 164 and partially across the frontage of No. 162 (replaces one space in a partial footway parking bay). |
Beverstone Road, Thornton Heath | Outside No. 24 and partially across the frontage of No. 22 |
Cecil Road, Croydon | Outside No. 159 and partially across the frontage of No. 157 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay). |
Cresswell Road, South Norwood | Outside No. 10 |
Dalmally Road, Croydon | Outside No. 190 and partially across the frontage of No. 192 (formalising an existing bay) |
Ecclesbourne Road, Thornton Heath | Outside No. 123 and partially across the frontage of No. 125. |
Ellis Road, Coulsdon | Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 102 (bay at 90 degrees to the north-western kerb-line). |
Fairholme Road, Croydon | Outside No. 89 and partially across the frontage of No. 87 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay). |
Gloucester Road, Croydon | Outside No. 34 and partially across the frontage of No. 32 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay). |

Sunnycroft Road, South Norwood | Outside No. 16 and partially across the frontages of Nos. 14 and 18 (extension of existing bay). |
Warwick Road, Thornton Heath | Outside No. 1 and partially across the frontage of No.3 |

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
2. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
3. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design section, Place Department, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference: PD/CH/F5 & F6 by 16 February 2023.
