THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety, the general effect of the Free Parking Places Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions at the following locations below:

1. Introduce new ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions around the junctions of Tretawn Gardens and Austell Gardens NW7; junction of Church Hill Road and Rushdene Avenue EN4; junction of Oakwood Road and Addison Way NW11; junction of Wilberforce Road and Irving Way NW9 and the junction of Wickliffe Avenue and Hendon Lane N3.

2. Introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions at the following locations below:

a) Both sides of Tretawn Gardens at the junction of Marsh Drive NW7 approximately 13 metres in length.

b) A length of waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ opposite No.1 to No.5 Austell Gardens NW7.

3. Upgrade existing lengths of waiting restrictions to operate ‘At any time’ at the following locations below.

a) An existing length of waiting restrictions operating 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday waiting restrictions outside No.15 to No.23 Montrose Avenue HA8.

b) An existing length of waiting restrictions operating 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday on the northeast side of Athenaeum Road N20 between High Road Whetstone and No.3a Athenaeum Road N20.

c) An existing length of existing waiting restrictions operating 10am to 11am Monday to Friday outside No.96 to No.102 Edgwarebury Lane HA8

4. In addition to the above measures the general effect of the above orders would be to convert the existing resident permit holders only parking space outside No.102 Edgwarebury Lane HA8 to a length waiting restrictions operating ‘At any time’.

A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR497, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
