The Equitable Staff Money Purchase Pension Scheme (the "Scheme") was established with effect from 1 September 1995. The sole employer in the Scheme is HBOS plc.

Notice is hereby given under section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that Capital Cranfield Pension Trustees Limited in its capacity as the sole trustee of the Scheme (the "Trustee") is winding up the Scheme.

Anyone who believes that they are a member of the Scheme but has not already been contacted by the Trustee, or anyone who believes they have any other interest, claim or entitlement in relation to the Scheme (whether as a member or otherwise) that has not already been contacted by the Trustee about the winding up of the Scheme, should write and provide details of their membership, interest, claim or entitlement to the Trustee:

When contacting the Trustee please provide your full name, any former names by which you may have been known, date of birth, National Insurance number (if applicable), contact details, the period when you worked for HBOS, Equitable Life or any other employer which participated in the Scheme, and any documentation supporting your claim. Details must be sent by 6 January 2023. After this date, the Trustee will complete the winding up of the Scheme having regard only to interests, claims and entitlements of which it then has notice and the Trustee will not be liable to any person whose interest, claim or entitlement has not then been notified to it.

If you have already received information from the Trustee about how your benefits are being dealt with on the winding up of the Scheme, there is no need to respond to this Notice. Similarly, the Trustee does not need to hear from former members of the Scheme who no longer have an entitlement in the Scheme.
