FENHAM ROAD AND FURLEY ROAD JUNCTION IMPROVEMENTS
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (FENHAM ROAD AND FURLEY ROAD) ORDER 2022
1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE that on 27 October 2022 it has made the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The effects of the Order are to update the layout of existing ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) at the junction of Fenham Road and Furley Road, by extending existing ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in:-
(a) FENHAM ROAD eastward of its junction with Furley Road, by 2.5 metres on the north side and by 1.5 metres on the south side; and
(b) FURLEY ROAD east side, by 1.5 metres north-west of its junction with Fenham Road and by 2.5 metres south of its junction with Fenham Road.
Note: All measurements are in metres and are approximate.
3. Copies of the Order, which will come into force on 31 October 2022, and of all other relevant documents are available for inspection at Highways, Southwark Council, Environment and Leisure, 3rd floor hub 2, 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 2QH, by appointment only. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the order may, within six weeks of the date on which the order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
