1. The London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above Orders and install two road humps under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The flat-top road humps would be situated in:-

a) Burlington Road from its junction with Wellesley Road northwards with a maximum plateau length of 1.6 metres, a maximum height of 75mm and ramp gradient of 1 in 12. This would provide a flush surface for pedestrians crossing Burlington Road at its junction with Wellesley Road; and

b) Burlington Road from its junction with Wellesley Road southwards with a maximum plateau length of 1.6 metres, a maximum height of 75mm and ramp gradient of 1 in 12. This would provide a flush surface for pedestrians crossing Burlington Road at its junction with Wellesley Road.

3. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-

a) Introduce “no waiting at any time” restrictions in place of two parking places on Burlington Road, at its junction with Wellesley Road in connection with new side road entry treatment; and

b) Introduce a parking bay on Burlington Road outside No 32, in place of a redundant “no waiting” restriction.

4. Documents giving further information of the proposed road humps and Orders can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar.

5. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, stating the grounds of the objection, to the Assistant Director of Traffic, Transport & Parking, Hounslow Council, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 3EB or by email to trafficorders@hounslow.gov.uk quoting the reference TMO/P047/22, to be received by no later than Friday 4 November 2022.
