THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (A ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. 32) ORDER 2022

THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 9) TRAFFIC ORDER 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council, with the consent of Transport for London, on 29th August 2022 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in connection with the construction of footway buildouts at the junction of Ebury Street and Lower Belgrave Street and the implementation of a continuous footway at the junction of Lower Belgrave Street and Buckingham Palace Road, to

(a) introduce one-way working south-eastbound in Lower Belgrave Street between its junctions with Ebury Street and Buckingham Palace Road (with advisory contraflow cycling permitted);

(b) introduce a “Blue Badge” disabled persons’ parking place on the north-east side of Lower Belgrave Street, at the rear of Terminal House, No. 52 Grosvenor Gardens;

(c) extend the length of the single yellow line waiting restrictions outside Ebury Gate, No. 23 Lower Belgrave Street north-westward by 5.7 metres; and

(d) introduce / extend double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions at the junction of Ebury Street and Lower Belgrave Street, including outside St. Peter’s Eaton Square CE Primary School and No. 27 Lower Belgrave Street.

Please note that the introduction of a cycle hangar outside The Victoria Public House, No. 1 Lower Belgrave Street (as set out in the Notice of Proposals published on 30th March 2022) has been abandoned following a review of the scheme.

3. The Orders, which will come into force on 7th September 2022, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 10th October 2022 at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (except bank / public holidays). 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
