THE A453 TRUNK ROAD, (MILL HILL ROUNDABOUT) (DETRUNKING) ORDER 2022
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 which provides that an area of 360 square metres of the existing A453 trunk road forming part of the Mill Hill Roundabout shall cease to be trunk road as from the date on which the Order comes into force and responsibility shall transfer to Nottinghamshire County Council (who will become the highway authority for that area).
COPIES of the draft Order and the plan referred to in it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at the offices of the National Highways, Stirling House, Lakeside Court, Osier Drive, Sherwood Business Park, Nottingham NG15 0DS in the 6 weeks commencing on 24 February 2022 They may also be obtained, free of charge, from the addresses stated below.
ANY PERSON may object to the making of the Order within six weeks from the date of first publication of this notice by writing to the Secretary of State for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, or to nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk, quoting the title of this Notice and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
In submitting an objection or representation, it should be noted that your personal data and correspondence will be shared with National Highways as the promoting authority for the scheme. Should the Order become the subject of a Public Inquiry all correspondence will be copied to the Inspector conducting the Inquiry and will be kept in the Public Inquiry library, where it is publicly available. If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection or representation and the Secretary of State will copy your representations, with your name and address removed, to National Highways and if there is to be a Public Inquiry they will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result. National Highways may disclose your objections or representations, with your name and address removed, to other parties acting on its behalf.
