VARIATION OF HOURS OF OPERATION OF THE BUS LANES IN UXBRIDGE ROAD IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

THE EALING (BUS PRIORITY) (BUS LANES) (NO. 1, 2012) (AMENDMENT NO. 11) TRAFFIC ORDER 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, on the 16th February 2022 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, so as to continue indefinitely the provisions of The Ealing (Bus Priority) (Bus Lanes) (No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2020.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to amend the Ealing (Bus Priority) Traffic Order 2012 so as to change the hours of operation of all bus lanes in Uxbridge Road (other than the length of bus lane in Southall Broadway between the Borough boundary and Livingstone Road) in the London Borough of Ealing so that they will apply at any time. To avoid any doubt Uxbridge Road includes Broadway Southall, Broadway West Ealing, New Broadway, Ealing Broadway, The Mall and the Vale. The bus lane in Greenford Road, Southall approaching the Iron Bridge will also have its hours of operation changed to at any time.

3. The Order, which will come into force on the 17th February 2022, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available by e-mail from trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or by inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until the 30th March 2022.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by the 30th March 2022.
