THE DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL

(A382 IMPROVEMENTS, NEWTON ABBOT) (PHASE 2) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2021

The Devon County Council (‘the Council’) hereby give notice that they have made an Order under Sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to:-

(a) Improve lengths of the highway;

(b) Stop up lengths of the highway; and

(c) Construct new highway; and

(d) Stop up private means of access to premises; and

(e) Provide new means of access to said premises

All on or in the vicinity of the route of the A382 Road, Newton Abbot which the Council are proposing to improve between Drumbridges Roundabout, Newton Abbot and Forches Cross Junction, Newton Abbot.

Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans may be inspected for free of charge at all reasonable hours from:

• Devon County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 4QD

• Devon County Council, Ryefields, Avery Hill, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot, TQ12 3QG

• Teignbridge District Council, Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX

ANY PERSON may, not later than 20 January 2022, object to the confirmation of the Order by notice in writing to the Secretary of State for Transport, Department for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE47AR quoting the reference BLD/B16684 and stating the grounds for objection. In submitting an objection, it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will be passed to Devon County Council. This is so that the Council can contact you directly to address the issues raised. If any person does not wish personal data to be forwarded to the Council., they should state why when submitting the objection. The Secretary of State will copy the representations to the Council with the name and address removed and if there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.
