THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (FREE PARKING PLACES, WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (CYCLE HANGARS) (NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE that it proposes to make the above orders under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The effect of the orders would be:-

(a) to provide cycle hangars on the carriageway, each 2.55 metres in length, 2.05 metres in width and aligned parallel to the kerb, at the following locations:-

ALSCOT ROAD north-west side, south-west of its junction with Grange Road;

BAGSHOT STREET south-west side, opposite No. 37 Bagshot Street;

BATH TERRACE south-east side, opposite Rumford House, Bath Terrace (next to existing hangar);

BIRD IN BUSH ROAD north-east side, opposite No. 46d Bird In Bush Road;

BUCHAN ROAD north-west side, opposite No. 114 Buchan Road;

BUSHEY HILL ROAD south-west side, opposite Nos. 3c-f Bushey Hill Road;

CORNFLOWER TERRACE south-west side, opposite No. 1 Cornflower Terrace;

CORNFLOWER TERRACE north-east side, north-west of its junction with Ryedale;

CROFTON ROAD north-east side, opposite No. 2a Crofton Road;

CROFTON ROAD north-east side, south of its junction with Lyndhurst Road;

DECIMA STREET south-west side, outside No. 7 Decima Street;

DOVEDALE ROAD south-west side, side of No. 2 Mundania Road;

DRACO STREET two hangars (one on each side), south-east of its junction with Lorrimore Road;

GROVE PARK south side, opposite No. 48 Grove Park;

HAVIL STREET south-west side, south-east of its junction with Southampton Way;

HOLMDENE AVENUE north-east side, south-east of its junction with Herne Hill;

LINDEN GROVE two hangars south-west side, both opposite its junction with Brackley Avenue;

LISFORD STREET north-west side, opposite No. 46 Lisford Street;

LULWORTH ROAD north-east side, side of No. 23 Crewys Road;

MCNEIL ROAD south-east side, opposite No. 61 McNeil Road;

MUNDANIA ROAD two hangars south-east side, both opposite Samuel Baines House, Mundania Road;

ODESSA STREET three hangars east side, all outside New Caledonian Wharf, No. 6 Odessa Street;

OLNEY ROAD two hangars north-west side, both outside No. 136 Olney Road;

PARKERS ROW east side, outside No. 71 Parkers Row;

PELLATT ROAD south side, side of No. 230 Crystal Palace Road;

PLAYFIELD CRESCENT south-west side, side of No. 35 Colwell Road;

QUORN ROAD north-west side, north-east of its junction with Dog Kennel Hill;

ROTHERHITHE STREET south side, opposite No. 239a Rotherhithe Street;

RYE ROAD north-east side, north-west of No. 25 Rye Road;

STAPLE STREET south-east side, north-east of its junction with Manciple Street (next to existing hangar);

SWAN STREET north-west side, outside No. 52 Swan Street;

TABARD STREET north-east side, south-east of its junction with Becket Street;

TAPPESFIELD ROAD south-west side, opposite No. 79 Tappesfield Road;

TELL GROVE two hangars north-east side, both south-east of its junction with East Dulwich Grove;

THE GARDENS south side, opposite The Gardens Surgery;

TRAFALGAR STREET north-west side, opposite Nos. 130 and 132 Trafalgar Street;

UPLAND ROAD two hangars north-east side, both outside Nos. 31 to 33 Upland Road;

UPLAND ROAD south-east side, opposite No. 140 Upland Road;

VESTRY ROAD south-west side, outside No. 120/128 Vestry Road;

WOOD VALE west side, outside No. 31 Wood Vale;

(b) to provide a cycle hangar on the footway of TURNEY ROAD south-east side, 2.55 metres in length and 2.05 metres in width, and aligned parallel to the north-western edge of the footway outside No. 80 Turney Road;

NOTES: (1) The measures in 2 (c)-(q) are proposed so as to accommodate the provision of the new cycle hangars and in those locations referred to above. (2) ‘permit’ refers to parking places for holders of valid parking permits within the Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) listed, ‘shared-use’ refers to parking places in which holders of a valid permit for the CPZ listed or ‘pay’ paid ticket holders are permitted to park within the permitted hours. ‘SYLs’ refer to timed waiting restrictions and ‘DYLs’ refer to 'at any time' waiting restrictions. (3) All measurements are in metres ‘m’ and are approximate. (4) Parking charges are listed on www.southwark.gov.uk/parking

(c) in CPZ ‘D’ (i) split and reduce ‘permit’ in DECIMA STREET by 2.55m, (ii) reduce ‘permit’ by 2.55m in BATH TERRACE, SWAN STREET and TABARD STREET, and (iii) reduce ‘shared-use’ in STAPLE STREET by 2.55m;

(d) in CPZ ‘EC’ reduce ‘shared-use’ in HAVIL STREET by 2.55m;

(e) in CPZ ‘ED’ split and reduce ‘permit’ in TELL GROVE by 7m;

(f) in CPZ ‘G’ reduce ‘permit’ in PARKERS ROW by 2.55m;

(g) in CPZ ‘HH’ reduce ‘shared-use’ in HOLMDENE AVENUE by 4m;

(h) in CPZ ‘J’ (i) reduce ‘permit’ in DRACO STREET north-east side by 4.5m and DRACO STREET south-west side by 2.55m and (ii) split and reduce ‘permit’ in OLNEY ROAD by 7.5m;

(i) in CPZ ‘M1’ reduce ‘shared-use’ in BAGSHOT STREET by 2.55m; (j) in CPZ ‘M2’ split and reduce ‘shared-use’ in TRAFALGAR STREET by 4.5m;

(k) in CPZ ‘PR’ (i) split and reduce ‘permit’ in VESTRY ROAD by 4.55m, (ii) reduce ‘permit’ in CROFTON ROAD in two locations on the north-east side (by 2.55m and by 6.5m), and (iii) reduce ‘shared-use’ in BUSHEY HILL ROAD by 2m and MCNEIL ROAD by 4m;

(l) in CPZ ‘Q’ (i) reduce ‘permit’ in GROVE PARK by 2.55m, and (ii) reduce ‘shared-use’ in QUORN ROAD by 2.55m;

(m) in CROFTON ROAD north-east side opposite No. 2a Crofton Road, re-locate south-eastward by 3.5m an existing ‘unlimited stay’ disabled persons’ parking place;

(n) in proposed CPZ ‘S’ (i) three new cycle hangars in ODESSA STREET would reduce proposed ‘permit’ by 7.5m and add 2m new DYLs, and (ii) one new cycle hangar in ROTHERHITHE STREET would reduce proposed ‘permit’ by 2.55m;

(o) reduce in length by 2.55m (i) existing DYLs in ALSCOT ROAD and in BUSHEY HILL ROAD, and (ii) existing ‘at any time’ loading restrictions (double kerb blips) in ALSCOT ROAD;

(p) convert existing SYLs to DYLs in BATH TERRACE and DRACO STREET (south-west side); and

(q) add new lengths of DYLs (2m unless otherwise stated) in BUCHAN ROAD, CORNFLOWER TERRACE (2m south-west side and 4m north-east side), CROFTON ROAD (3.5m), DOVEDALE ROAD, DRACO STREET (north-east side), LINDEN GROVE, LULWORTH ROAD, MUNDANIA ROAD, OLNEY ROAD, PELLATT ROAD, PLAYFIELD CRESCENT, RYE ROAD, TABARD STREET, TAPPESFIELD ROAD, TELL GROVE, THE GARDENS, TRAFALGAR STREET, UPLAND ROAD (2m north-east side and 2m south-east side), VESTRY ROAD, and WOOD VALE.
