TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 249(6) of the above Act to authorise the extinguishment of vehicular rights on a length of Cheapside, and an eastern part-width of Cheapside, at Shifnal in the County of Shropshire.

The Order contains provisions for permitting the use of those lengths of highway by vehicles being used for police, ambulance or fire brigade purposes, statutory undertakers, local authorities, access to residential properties, for traders and markets/events, pedal cycles, horse-drawn carriages and mobility scooters.

Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be obtained, free of charge, in the 28 days commencing on 09 July 2021, by emailing nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk quoting NATTRAN/WM/S249/4742

Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 06 August 2021.
