NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
COLT UK PENSION PLAN
Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, notice is hereby given that the Colt UK Pension Plan (the Plan) commenced winding-up with effect from 12 April 2021. This notice is intended for any person (including, but not limited to, any former employees of Colt Technology Services Group Limited (previously known as Colt Telecommunications Group Limited and Colt Telecom Group PLC) and associated companies (collectively called Colt) who believes he or she is a member or beneficiary of the Plan but has not been contacted by the Trustee in respect of the winding-up of the Plan.
Any person who believes they have any interest, claim or entitlement in respect of the Plan who has not been notified by the Trustee of the winding-up of the Plan should provide details of their membership, interest, claim or entitlement to ukpension@colt.net. Such details must be sent within two months of the date of publication of this notice. In support of your claim we ask that you provide full details of your name, address, date of birth, National Insurance number, and periods of employment by Colt, together with any relevant supporting documentation.
After the expiry of this two-month deadline from the date of publication of this notice, the Trustee will conclude the distribution of the Plan’s assets among the persons entitled to them having regard only to those persons of whose claims, interests or entitlements it has notice (including any person who has provided their details pursuant to this notice) and the Trustee of the Plan shall not be liable to any other person in respect of any claim, interest or entitlement in respect of the Plan.
Please note that the bulk of the assets of the Plan have recently transferred to the MyColt Retirement Savings Section of the Fidelity Master Trust. Information about that transfer has been sent by the Trustee to all known Plan members. If you have already received information from the Trustee and/or Fidelity about the transfer of your benefits under the Plan to the Fidelity Master Trust, there is no need to respond to this notice.
