ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 14(2) (MIDLAND METRO TRAM EXTENSION) (T2122002 BIRMINGHAM EASTSIDE EXTENSION) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021

Birmingham City Council (“the Council”) being the Highway Authority for the roads specified in the Order, intends not less than 21 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984 (as amended) because works are or are being proposed to be executed on or near the roads detailed in the table set out below (“the Table”) in connection with the Metro extension scheme.

The effect of the Order is that for a temporary period the restrictions detailed in column 2 of the Table will be introduced in relation to the roads listed in column 3 of the Table and the restrictions detailed in column 2 of the table will be suspended in the roads listed in column 4 of the Table.

The Council is satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than eighteen months and the Council shall revoke this order as soon as the works are completed.

Where necessary an alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via signed routes in accordance with approved traffic management proposals, as appropriate to the type, location and extent of the required works. Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.

These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
