THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A102 GLA ROAD AND GLA SIDE ROADS (HOMERTON HIGH STREET/ KENWORTHY ROAD, LONDON BOROUGH OF HACKNEY) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2021

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 11th March 2021 it made the above named, Order under section 83 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order comes into force on 25th March 2021.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order would be to impose a speed limit of 20 MPH on the A102 Homerton High Street/ Kenworthy Road between its junctions with Furrow Lane and Chevet Street as well as all GLA Side Roads - Red Route returns of these roads in the London Borough of Hackney.

3. The roads which would be affected by the Order are the A102 GLA Roads – Homerton High Street and Kenworthy Road and all GLA Side Roads - Red Route returns of these roads in the London Borough of Hackney.

4. The roads affected are currently subject to a speed limit of 30 MPH.

5. A copy of the Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at www.tfl.gov.uk/traffic-orders-2021 then select Traffic Order GLA-2021-0118. Copies of the documents may be requested via email at trafficordersection@tfl,gov.uk, or by post at the following address quoting reference NP/REGULATION/STOT/BS/TRO/GLA/2021/0118:

Please note due to Covid-19 access to post is restricted and requests for documents may be delayed.

6. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
