Highways England Company Limited (Company no. 9346363) hereby gives notice that it has revoked an existing Order and made a new Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A45 Trunk Road at Northampton, in the County of Northamptonshire.

The effect of the Order, which comes into force on 4th February 2021, will be to impose a 60 miles per hour speed limit on –

(1) the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A45 between points 170 metres northeast of the centreline of the pedestrian overbridge at the centre of the roundabout junction of the A508, the A5076, Hardingstone Lane, the B526 and the A45 slip roads (Queen Eleanor Roundabout), near Hardingstone, and 380 metres southwest of the centreline of the pedestrian overbridge northeast of the roundabout junction of the A428, the A5095 and the A45 slip roads (Barnes Meadow Roundabout);

(2) a length of the slip road leading to the eastbound carriageway of the A45 from Queen Eleanor Roundabout, from a point 45 metres northeast of its junction with Queen Eleanor Roundabout, to its junction with the A45;

(3) a length of the slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A45 to Queen Eleanor Roundabout, from a point 45 metres northeast of its junction with Queen Eleanor Roundabout, to its junction with the A45;

(4) a length of the slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A45 to the roundabout junction with Rhosili Road and Eagle Drive (Brackmills Roundabout), at Brackmills, from its junction with the A45, to a point 45 metres southwest of its junction with Brackmills Roundabout;

(5) the slip road leading to the eastbound carriageway of the A45 from Brackmills Roundabout;

(6) a length of the slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A45 to Brackmills Roundabout, from its junction with the A45, to a point 25 metres northeast of its junction with Brackmills Roundabout;

(7) the slip road leading to the westbound carriageway of the A45 from Brackmills Roundabout;

(8) a length of the slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A45 to Barnes Meadow Roundabout, from its junction with the A45, to a point 60 metres southwest of its junction with Barnes Meadow Roundabout; and

(9) a length the slip road leading to the westbound carriageway of the A45 from Barnes Meadow Roundabout, from a point 60 metres southwest of its junction with Barnes Meadow Roundabout, to its junction with the A45.
