NOTICE TO CREDITORS AND BENEFICIARIES
UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
VITA PENSION FUND NO.1
Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Vita Pension Fund No.1 (the “Fund”) expects to commence the process of winding-up in January 2021.
This notice is addressed to former and current employees of:
• Vita Cellular Foams (UK) Limited (formerly known as Kay-Metzeler Limited);
• Vita Industrial (UK) Limited (formerly known as the following – Vita Services Limited, Chemibond Limited, Schebosol Limited);
• Ball & Young Limited (formerly known as Vitafoam Limited);
• Vita (Group) Unlimited (formerly known as the following – British Vita Unlimited and British Vita Plc);
• British Vita Company Limited;
• Vita International Limited (formerly known as Vitafoam Limited);
• Blue Dart Transport Limited; and
• B T R Vitaline Limited;
and any member, beneficiary, creditor or other person who believes they have a claim against or an interest in the Fund.
This may include employees who are or were members of the following schemes: Vita Pension Fund No.1, British Vita Pension Fund, British Vita W Pension Fund, Vitafoam Limited Pension Fund, British Vita S Pension Fund, British Vita SE&D Pension Fund and Vita Pension Fund No.2.
If you were, or are, an employee of the above companies, and a member of the Fund, and think you are entitled to benefits under the Fund but have not been contacted in respect of those benefits, or you are a spouse, civil partner, child or dependant of a deceased member, or a creditor of the Fund, please contact the Trustee of the Fund c/o Mercer Limited in writing and received by no later than 19 March 2021 using the following contact details:

You should include your full name, current address, date of birth, details of the period of employment to which your claim relates and details of any potential benefits you think you may be entitled to.
It is the Trustee’s intention to transfer the assets of the Fund into individual insurance policies written in the name of individual members as soon as possible. After 19 March 2021, the Trustee will proceed to wind-up the Fund and secure benefits for any remaining beneficiaries, having regard only to the claims and interests of which they have prior notice. The Trustee shall not be liable to any person of whose claims and demands they have not had notice.
If you already receive a pension from the Fund, or you have received announcements to your current address from the Trustee regarding the winding-up and transfer of the Fund’s liabilities, you do not need to contact the Trustee as it already has full details about your entitlements.
