The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Organic Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020", (S.R. 2020 No. 272), which comes into operation on 31st December 2020.

This Rule ensures that Northern Ireland continues to have legislation for the administration and enforcement of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 and Commission Regulations (EC) Nos 889/2008 and 1235/2008, which lay down detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation 834/2007 (the EU Regulations), following the EU Exit transition period.
