THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 406) ORDER 2020
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 21st September 2020 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in connection with the introduction of a “School Street”, to:
(a) prohibit motor vehicles from entering the length of Crompton Street (during term time) that lies south-west of Hall Place:
• between 8.00 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. and between 2.30 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. on Mondays; and
• between 8.00 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. and between 3.15 p.m. and 3.45 p.m. on Tuesdays to Fridays;
(b) extend the residents’ parking place on the south-east side of Crompton Street, adjacent to Edward House, south-westward by 1 metre;
(c) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions throughout the length of Crompton Street which lies south-west of Hall Place (except in the residents’ parking place referred to above); and
(d) introduce “at any time” loading restrictions:
• along the whole of the north-west side of Crompton Street, south-west of Hall Place; and
• at the junction of Crompton Street and Hall Place.
3. The Orders, which will come into force on 25th September 2020, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 2nd November 2020 at http://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices. Please note that documents will not be available for inspection in person until further notice.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
