PENSION SCHEME NOTICE

BRITISH BANKERS’ ASSOCIATION PENSION SCHEME

(“THE SCHEME”)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 (as amended) that the Scheme’s benefits are shortly to be insured with an insurance company, and that any person (whether member, creditor or other) having a claim against or claiming to be beneficially interested in the Scheme (whether as a member, widow, widower or other dependant of a member or otherwise) is required to submit details in writing of their claim or interest.

If you think you are still entitled to benefits under the Scheme, but have not been contacted by the Scheme Trustee within the last two years, and do not have a pension already in payment from the Scheme, please contact us using the address listed below. If you have been contacted by the Trustee or have received correspondence from the Trustee in the last two years, or are currently in receipt of a pension from the Scheme, there is no need to respond to this notice.

Scheme members may have been employees of the following companies:

British Bankers’ Association

APACS Administration Limited

Bankers Automated Clearing Services Limited

Bankers Clearing House Limited

Banking Information Service

BCH Property Limited

Federation of Bank Employers

Inter-Bank Research Organisation

If you are one of the persons noted above, please write to Pension Administration, Barnett Waddingham LLP, 2 London Wall Place, London EC2Y 5AU. You should include details of your full name, your current address, National Insurance number, a note of any benefits to which you think you may be entitled and copies of any evidence that you can provide to confirm your entitlement. Alternatively, if you need clarification about the information required, please call 0333 11 11 222.

Beneficiaries should make claims in writing to the address above by no later than 30 September 2020. The Trustee is in the process of insuring benefits with an insurance company for the members and beneficiaries of the Scheme. Therefore, the Trustee wishes to ensure that their records include all members and beneficiaries so that the correct benefits are insured. If the Trustee does not hear from you it will proceed with the insurance of the Scheme benefits, having regard only to the claims and interests of which it has received notice.
