The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Misuse of Drugs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020", (S.R. 2020 No. 104), which comes into operation on 24 June 2020.

This Rule amends the Misuse of Drugs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 (S.R. 2002 No.1) ("the 2002 Regulations") in order to move Epidyolex, a cannabis-based medicine currently listed in Schedule 2, to Schedule 5 to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2002, under its own definition.
