CRAWFORD ROAD - NEW PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE, as approved under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the provision of a ‘zebra’ pedestrian crossing at the following location:- CRAWFORD ROAD, the centre of which would be located 52 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Valmar Road as measured from the north-eastern side. Zig-zag markings, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times would be laid on (a) the north-east side, 8 metres north-west of and 4 metres south-east of this crossing, and (b) the south-west side 4 metres north-west of and 8 metres south-east of this crossing.

2. Southwark Council hereby GIVES FURTHER NOTICE under sections 90A to 90I of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Traffic calming) Regulations 1999, the provision of new road humps of sinusoidal cross-section construction, approx. 3.7 metres in length, having a maximum height of 100 millimetres and covering the greater width of the carriageway, at the following locations in CRAWFORD ROAD: - (a) centred at a point 26.5 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Valmar Road, and (b) centred at a point 42 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Morna Road.
