HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BERMUDA ROAD, BERMUDA, NUNEATON) IMPROVEMENT AND OTHER WORKS (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2019

THE SECRETARY OF STATE for Transport hereby gives notice that on 02 January 2020 he has confirmed, with modifications, the above Order which was made by Warwickshire County Council under section 14 of the Highways Act 1980 and which, as confirmed, authorises the Council to –

a) improve highways;

b) construct new highways and;

c) stop up highways

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified roads Bermuda Road, Heath End Road, St Georges Way, Tenlons Road and The Bridleway, which the Council are proposing to improve between Heath End Road and Tenlons Road / St Georges Way; and a new classified road which the Council propose to construct between Bermuda Village and Buckingham Close / St Georges Way at Bermuda, Nuneaton.

Copies of the above-mentioned Order and associated plans may be inspected during normal opening hours at Warwickshire County Council (main reception), Shire Hall, Warwick and at the following addresses:

1. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Town Hall, Coton Road, Nuneaton

2. Library and Information Centre, Church Street, Nuneaton.

ANY PERSON aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of any provision within the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 15 January 2020, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
