GLENPARKE ROAD AND PALMERSTON ROAD
THE NEWHAM (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 6) TRAFFIC ORDER 2019
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham on 27 August 2019 made the above-mentioned Order under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The effect of the Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the Newham (Prescribed Routes) (No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2018 which came into force on 5 March 2018.
3. The above experimental order removed the diagonal island site (road closure) at the junction of Glenparke Road and Palmerston Road and imposed one way working (except for pedal cycles) in Glenparke Road (between Upton Lane and Palmerston Road in an easterly direction and in Palmerston Road (between Whyteville Road and Glenparke Road) in a northerly direction.
4. Copies of the Order, which will come into force on 2 September 2019, and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours on Monday to Friday inclusive at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
