LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. s part of the Council’s commitment to reducing air pollution by encouraging increased use of lower emission vehicles, the Orders would implement new resident permit categories which are closely aligned to the DVLA categories used to calculate vehicle tax rates. The Order would also introduce an emission-based charging structure to business permits, and would introduce a ‘Contractor Permit’ for use by contractors undertaking works at properties across the Borough and where their location of work is regularly away from their main business address. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
1. change the charging mechanism for the annual resident permits, as follows:

3. introduce a ‘Contractor Permit’ for use by contractors or other businesses located in the borough, who frequently carry out work borough wide and have a legitimate business need to park in Controlled Parking Zones in the performance of their services. A copy of the proposed Order and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at:

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Order should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR281, to the Parking Client Team, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW or via email to parking.clientteam@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
