PROPOSED PLAY STREET ORDER FOR PLAYSTREET SCHEME IN EGERTON GARDENS

THE EALING (VARIOUS ROADS PLAYSTREET SCHEME) (NO. 4, 2016) (AMENDMENT NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 2016

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 29 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to create a play street in Egerton Gardens W13, between the western kerb-line of Montague Road and the eastern kerb-line of The Avenue which would operate when traffic signs are in position closing this road between these points.

The scheme called “Playstreet” would close this road to vehicular traffic on one Saturday or Sunday each month (or such other occasions as the Council may approve) for a period of up to 3 hours to enable children to use them for play schemes. Vehicles would be able to access premises in the closed sections of street and would be escorted by a steward to reach their destination.

4. The proposed Order, other documents including plans giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available by either e-mailing trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order.

5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing by e-mail to trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or by post to the Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference ORD 4172/djc until the 14th May 2019. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
