Highways England Company Limited gives notice that it has made an Order under Sections 82(2), 83(1) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A168 and B1448 Trunk Roads in the District of Hambleton.

The effect of this Order, which comes into force on Friday 19th April 2019, is to maintain the national speed limit on the following lengths of A168 and B1448 at Topcliffe Road Junction, which would otherwise be subject to a speed limit of 30 miles per hour as a result of the installation of street lighting as part of junction improvement works:

(i) the A168 northbound and southbound exit and entry slip roads;

(ii) the B1448 western and eastern roundabouts;

(iii) the length of B1448 (including Warren Farm Overbridge) connecting the western and eastern roundabouts; and

(iv) the length of the B1448 Topcliffe Road from a point 129 metres north of the western roundabout to the junction of that roundabout.

A copy of the Order and the relevant Plan have been deposited at Thirsk Library, Finkle Street, Thirsk, YO7 1DA, and at North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, DL7 8AD, where they may be inspected during normal opening hours until Friday 31st May 2019.
