BUXTON DRIVE E11, COLLEGE PLACE E17, OAKHURST GARDENS E17, FOREST RISE E17, THE FOREST E11 AND SNARESBROOK ROAD E11

THE WALTHAM FOREST (20 M.P.H. AND 40 M.P.H.) (NO. 2) SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2019

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council on 18th March 2019 made the above-mentioned Orders under section 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general effect of the Orders will be in:

(i) Snaresbrook Road E11 to reduce the maximum speed limit of 40 m.p.h. at its western end to 30 m.p.h. so the speed limit will be 30 m.p.h. in the entirety of the road (all such area that is within the London Borough of Waltham Forest); and

(ii) introduce a maximum speed limit of 20 m.p.h. in Oakhurst Gardens E17, College Place E17, Forest Rise E17 (eastern arm off Woodford new Road), The Forest E11 and Buxton Drive E11 (in all these roads as much is public highway).

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation from 18th March 2019 and other relevant documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from that date, at: (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17; and (b) Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
