AND NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTARY ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is intended that the Select Committee of the House of Commons which is considering this Bill should consider certain amendments to the Bill for the following amongst other purposes:–
1. Amendments to authorise revised proposals for the construction of works, a general description of the nature of which is set out below, to authorise the acquisition or use of lands and to undertake diversions of specified overhead electric lines in the districts and parishes mentioned below:

2. Amendments to provide for alterations to works authorised in the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017, and to authorise additional works and to authorise the acquisition or use of lands in connection with those works, in the County, District and Parishes listed below:
County of Staffordshire, District of Lichfield, Parish of Kings Bromley
• A railway (Work No. H1) commencing by a junction with Work No. 3/93A authorised by the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 and terminating by a junction with the West Coast Main Line. Work No. H1 includes a bridge over Work No. H4
• A railway (Work No. H2) commencing by a junction with Work No. 3/93A authorised by the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 and terminating by a junction with the West Coast Main Line. Work No. H2 includes a viaduct over Work No. H3 and the West Coast Main Line
Works Nos. H1 and H2 replace that part of Work No. 3/93A authorised by the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 from their junction with that work.
• Access roads off Shaw Lane (Works Nos. H3, H4 and H6)
• An access road off Lichfield Road (Work No. H5)
• A realignment of the A515 Lichfield Road (Work No. 7F)
• A realignment of Wood End Lane (Work No. 7G)
• An access road off the A515 Lichfield Road (Work No. 7H)
Parish of Armitage with Handsacre –
• A railway (Work No. H7) being an improvement of the West Coast Main Line.
Additional land subject to powers of compulsory acquisition or use in the District of Lichfield, Parish of Mavesyn Ridware.
3. Amendment to an assurance given by the Secretary of State required to be made in connection with the alterations to works specified in 2 above.
4. In connection with the construction of the works specified in 1 and 2 above, provision for the stopping up or diversion of the public footpaths and bridleways specified in Schedule 1 to this notice.
5. The proposed amendments would confer powers authorising the alteration or disturbance of the surface of streets or roads in connection with the construction of an underground railway. The roads or streets which may be affected by the exercise of the power are described in Schedule 2 to this notice. The powers are proposed to be exercised in order to provide a power supply for the construction of that part of the proposed railway in Whitmore (Work No. 81 in the Bill) which would be in tunnel. The powers may be exercised in relation to the roads and streets described in Schedule 2 to the extent that they are within Act limits.
6. The lands which may be acquired or used include the Trent and Mersey Canal towpath in the County of Staffordshire, District of Lichfield, Parish of Kings Bromley (342 m²), Parish of Armitage with Handsacre (384 m²) and Borough of Stafford, Parish of Colwich (1,075 m²).
7. Amendments relating to paragraph 6 (conditions relating to road transport) of Schedule 17 to the Bill (Conditions of deemed planning permission), to the table of buildings authorised to be demolished, altered or extended in Schedule 18 (Listed buildings) and to Schedule 22 (Buildings) to provide for the disapplication and modification of sections 80 to 82 of the Building Act 1984.
As from 15 February Plans and Sections, with a Book of Reference to those Plans, relating to the proposed Amendments will be available for public inspection at the offices and libraries referred to in Parts I and II of Schedule 3 to this Notice.
As from 15 February an Environmental Statement relating to the Amendments (ES) and Supplementary Environmental Statement (SES) together with a Non-Technical Summary (NTS) will also be available for public inspection at each of the offices and libraries mentioned in Parts I and II of Schedule 3 to this notice and for inspection at the following office: High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd, 5th floor, Sanctuary Buildings, 20 Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3BT, Tel: 08081 434 434, Email: HS2enquiries@hs2.org.uk, www.gov.uk/hs2.
