1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE that on 24 January 2019 it has made the above orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The effect of the orders would are:- note: All measurements are in metres ‘m’ and are approximate.

(a) in AMELIA STREET, in CPZ ‘E’ near its junction with Iliffe Yard, (i) the north-west side to reduce an existing permit parking place by 3m and (ii) the south-east side to reduce an existing ‘pay’ parking place by 7m;

(b) in COMMERCIAL WAY, the north-west side to introduce a new ambulance stopping area (10 meters in length) in which, at any time, ambulances only are permitted to stop without restriction;

(c) in KING AND QUEEN STREET, the north-east side, increase by 12m the length of an existing ‘shared-use’ parking place in CPZ ‘M2’;

(d) in THRALE STREET, in CPZ ‘C1’ to relocate 22 metres of existing permit holders' parking place on the south-west side to the north-east side;

(e) in WINGFIELD STREET, the north-west side to extend, by 2m north-eastward, an existing ‘unlimited stay’ disabled persons’ parking place outside No. 7 Wingfield Street;

(f) to convert existing permit holders' parking places, in part or in full, to ‘limited stay’ disabled persons’ parking places, 6 metres each in length, which would operate at any time (max stay 4 hours) by vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons 'blue badge':- (i) in THURLAND ROAD, a full bay on the south-west side opposite St. James’s Church in CPZ ‘G’, and (ii) in WILD’S RENTS, part of an existing bay on the south-east side outside No. 30 Wild’s Rents in CPZ ‘D’;

(g) to provide cycle hangars on the carriageway, each having 2.55 metres in length and 2.05 metres in width, and aligned parallel to the kerb, at the following locations:- in GELDART ROAD, the north-east side (i) to the side of No. 72 Meeting House Lane, and (ii) to the side of No. 34 Fenham Road; and in GOODRICH ROAD, the north-east side to the side of No. 239 Upland Road;

(h) to convert existing single yellow line to double yellow ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in:- CHESTERFIELD GROVE, the north side outside No. 1 Chesterfield Grove (12m), and RAYMOUTH ROAD, the north-east side outside Banner Court (12m); and ROTHERHITHE NEW ROAD, on both sides, at various points between its junction with the vehicular access to Beamish House and its junction with Luxford Street (approx. total of 138m);

(i) to add new ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in:- BARKWORTH ROAD and DELAFORD ROAD at junctions with Credon Road; LUXFORD STREET at its junction with Rotherhithe New Road; HOLBECK ROW at its junction with Friary Road; and

(j) to amend existing ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in:- AMELIA STREET, (i) the north-west side add 3m and (ii) the south-east side add 8.5m; CREDON ROAD across its junctions with Barkworth Road, Delaford Road, Masters Drive and Ryder Drive; ELCOT AVENUE at its junction with Friary Road; FENHAM ROAD across its junctions with Friary Road and Marmont Road, and at its junction with Furley Road; FRIARY ROAD, across its junctions with Elcot Avenue, Fenham Road and Holbeck Row; FURLEY ROAD across its junction with Fenham Road; GOODRICH ROAD, north-east side south-west of cycle hangar add 2m; KING AND QUEEN STREET, the north-east side add 13.8m; MARMONT ROAD at its junction with Fenham Road; MASTERS DRIVE at its junction with Credon Road; PECKHAM PARK ROAD, the south-east side between Bird in Bush Road and Commercial Way add 35m; RYDER DRIVE at its junction with Credon Road; THRALE STREET, (i) the north-east side remove 22m and (ii) the south-west side add 22m; THURLAND ROAD the south-west side to more accurately reflect current restrictions in the road; and UNDERHILL ROAD, the east side add 4m between No. 8 and Bradbury Oak House, Underhill Road.

3. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
