NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No.09346363) has made the above-mentioned Order, under Sections 84 (1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A550 Trunk Road in the Boroughs of Cheshire and Cheshire West and Chester in the County of Cheshire.

The effect of the Order, if made as proposed, would be to:

Impose a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A550 Trunk Road, from the junction with the A41 Chester Road, to a point 90 metres south of the junction with Ledsham Lane.

Impose a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A550 Trunk Road, from a point 250 metres north of the junction with the A540 Parkgate Road, to a point 267 metres south of the junction with the A540 Parkgate Road.

The speed limit will not apply to vehicles being used for emergency purposes by the police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance services, or special-forces.

The effect of the Order is as described in the Notice that appeared in the London Gazette on the 2 August 2018 (Issue Number 62372).

A copy of the Order and Notice, together with a Plan, and a Statement of Reasons, have been deposited at the Little Sutton Library, Chester Road, Ellesmere Port, CH66 1QQ, Ellesmere Port Library, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BG and also at the offices of Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald-Area 10, Spencer House, Dewhurst Road, Birchwood, Warrington WA3 7PG, where they may be inspected during normal opening hours, or they may be seen at, or obtained by application to, the Director, Highways England Company Limited, Operations Directorate, Piccadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester, M1 2WD, making reference to this Notice.
